Description

Course Description: This course focuses on nurturing children’s diversity, individual talents, intelligences, and learning styles through the integration of the arts in the literacy curriculum.  Skills workshops in the facilitation of creative drama, creative movement, and the visual arts will demonstrate how to link academic literacy objectives in a multiple intelligences framework and enliven the classroom. Students will learn the basic principles of arts-based curriculum design with the aim of creating a comprehensive curriculum unit around a book or set of books at  the grade level of their choiceCo-requisite : NHE113

Dates of Class: Mondays April 25th – June 13th  (Tuesdays 10am EST – Section 1, Tuesdays 7pm EST – Section 2)
