Anatomy and physiology taught by Board Certified Medical Doctor and Senior Acarya Pashupati Steven Landau MD ERYT 500. Strong spiritual emphasis based on the rational teachings of Shrii Shrii Anandamurti, with a combination of yoga poses taught in Ananda Marga and other styles. Emphasis on yoga dances for men and women. Conduct codes are described in detail to assist the practitioner in having a smooth and delightful life. The graduated student trainee will be able to teach in a variety of venues.

How Yoga Teacher Training is related to Neohumanism?

Inclusive language. Students of all races and religions attend from around the world. Emphasis is placed on service, including humans, animals and plants. Rational and experiential approach is taken to all subjects. Languages are translated for students needing help in English.

Meeting Dates: Thur. July 22, 2023 – Wed. August 2, 2023

Course Format: In-person course – On-Site Mentoring Intensive + Self-Paced Online Learning. YTT 101, has been scheduled to take place on site with up to 15 students in-person for overnight accommodations from July 22, 2023 – August 2, 2023. Programs will be held at the Neohumanist College of Asheville Main Campus Building: 160 Wellness Way, Marshall, NC 28753. Tuition is $2,000, and includes three delicious sentient meals per day and overnight accommodations in the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains.

Instructor: Pashupati Steven Landau, MD

Pashupati Steven Landau MD ERYT 500 is an accomplished yoga trainer and teacher, having begun the practice in 1970. He has trained hundreds of intermediate and advanced students around the world, including Haiti, India and the USA. He is a Senior Acarya (One who teaches by his conduct) in the Ananda Marga system, and has published his own research showing how yoga practice and education reduces re-incarceration rate in prisoners with felony records. He plays 10 musical instruments and speaks 5 languages. He is married and has 3 wonderful children, all of whom are well versed in the practices and philosophy of yoga. Living in Marshall, North Carolina in the USA, he assists his wife Ellen (Vishvapriya) in creating and managing the Neohumanist College of Asheville. He is a semi-retired Board-Certified Family Practitioner and is currently doing disability physicals for Veterans and Social Security applicants.

How do you price the class? I may be able to attend in person, but do you have a virtual-only option too?

The in-person portion is required to earn the certificate and is $2,000, however, there are additional online self-paced portion of this course that students can enroll in.

Is there any limit to the amount of people who can attend in person? Can you explain more about the Hybrid nature of the course?

How do I get credit for the full 200 Registered Yoga Teacher Yoga Alliance Certification? Does my tuition include food and accommodations if attending in person?

Sounds like there is some online learning too – is there a set schedule per week to complete all the online content?

All students must complete all online virtual learning and attend the Yoga mentoring intensive in-person in order to earn the Yoga Alliance 200 RTY Certificate and course completion certificate. Completion of the Online portion is self-paced and must submitted within 6 months of the Yoga mentoring intensive.
